The successful candidate will have a strong professional background and demonstrate teamwork, drive, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to excellence, learning, and growth. 

KEY DUTIES

  • Maintain effective level of business literacy about the production unit's products, financial position, its midrange plans, and our culture.
  • Consults with local and regional management, assisting in aligning people and business needs.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provides guidance and input on production unit initiatives, such as workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers and provides staffing support to management, including recruitment, screening, interviews, job offers, while championing our AAP/OFCCP requirements
  • Complete duties required to maintain compensation plan for hourly and salaried employee plans, including job analysis, preparation of job descriptions, FLSA determinations and salary administration.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum of five years HR experiences, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of diversity initiatives as it relates to AAP/OFCCP, preferred.
